Zhefei first came to Australia in 2006 to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce at Flinders University in Adelaide, before furthering her studies in Melbourne at Victoria University with a Master of Accounting. Zhefei is innately a commercially-savvy professional, hence her decision to study in the finance sector, which established her analytical and strategic development skills. 

Her educational foundations aside, Zhefei had a keen interest in sales, marketing and digital media from the commencement of her professional career. Her studies provided contextual knowledge of essential business operations, which was the base of her confidence when she ultimately decided to pursue a career in marketing. 

In the present day, after years of professional development, leading teams and developing marketing strategy; Zhefei has a demonstrated history of working as a Marketing Director in the higher education sector. Zhefei brings strong networking capabilities, leadership, customer service, sales, and social media solutions to the organisation.

Debbie Aquino

Marketing Manager

Debbie is originally from the Philippines, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Ateneo de Davao University and furthered her studies to pursue a Bachelor of Science (Major in Nursing) at Mindanao Medical Foundation College. Throughout her Nursing career, Debbie has practiced nursing within school environments, and has also gained invaluable exposure in nursing care within Mental Health facilities. With a strong interest in educating the future generations of Nurses, Debbie became a Vocational Education Trainer and Assessor teaching a course in Practical Nursing and Caregiving and Health Care Services, which she achieved over four years of service in the Philippines. 

Seeking a new adventure, Debbie moved to Singapore for two years, where she discovered an enjoyment in living abroad so much that she relocated once again, this time to Melbourne, Australia, in 2016. Debbie joined SCEI during this time and has worked within the Marketing team ever since. She has strong expertise in guidance counseling, facilitating career services, workshops, and events to harness employment opportunities

Debbie specialises in student recruitment and admissions of domestic and international students, which is demonstrated in her work experience across academia, exposure to different roles throughout her career, giving Debbie an advantage in having a detailed understanding of the Education sector. Equipped as a qualified Education Counselor, Debbie has a strong interest in strategic marketing and business development which she has furthered through studying a Masters in Business Administration at Kaplan Business School.

Lilian Li

Business Development Officer

Lilian has been working in the Education Industry for more than ten years where she has developed a strong interest and passion for helping students throughout their courses. She is always happy to support International and Domestic students to enrol their interest to study with both SCEI and SCEI-HE.

Jaime Saenz

Business Development Officer

Jaime is one of those South American students that told their parents, “I will only go to Australia to study English for six months”. It’s almost six years now and he keeps finding it a great episode of his life. Jaime’s experience in marketing and sales started back in his home country working with family in a sales-oriented business having always the need to deliver the right message to the right person to increase sales or support the growth of the company.  

After graduating with a Masters degree in Australia, Jaime has been developing his marketing experience during the last four years, working with different RTOs, and across a range of markets and partnerships with agents all over Australia. He welcomes all students to live the experience of coming to Australia and finding their own way.

Riya Khan

Business Development Officer

Riya Khan is an enthusiastic and creative professional with almost 9 years of experience in education industry.

She is passionate in helping student to choose majors and plan their career paths. This included scheduling one-on-one meetings with students, delivering seminars, and staying current on our courses requirements.

She is an excellent networker who can identify strategic partnership opportunities as they arise, as well as quickly establish relationships. She has an excellent understanding of what motivates partners to work with each other and furthermore understand the challenges inherent in such relationships.
